NINTH SESSION: Begun and Held at the Capitol, in the City of Tallahasses, on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22d, 1858. JOURNAL. MONDAY, November 22nd, 1858. This being the day fixed by the Constitution for the General Assembly of this State to convene, the Senate was called to order at 12 o'clock, M., by F. L. Villepigue, Secretary of State. The roll being called, the following Senators appeared and took their seats: The Senators from 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th Districts, presented their credentials and were duly sworn in by E. M. West, Justice of the Peace. There being a quorum present, Hon. Geo. E. Hawes was called to the Chair. On motion of T. B. Lamar, the Senate adjourned until to-morrow morning at 10 o'clock. TUESDAY, November 23rd, 1858. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. There being a quorum present, on motion, Hon. George E. Hawes took the chair. Senators from the 1st and 4th Senatorial Districts presented their credentials, and the oath of office was administered by E. M. West, J. P.
